Scott’s Maze Adventures at Long & Scott Farms

Scotts_market_corn mazeCorn Maze & Adventure Area are ONLY open to the General Public in the Fall on weekends, two special weekdays, and for a few special events or Private Parties throughout the year. The Corn Maze is 7 acres with lots of paths and plenty of room. There are employees inside the maze and on the bridge to monitor and help guests. Everyone is shown a short video about the maze and the rules before entering the Adventure area.

We ask you to divide into groups of 4 to 6, with an adult in every group. Each group enters the maze with a flag and a game sheet. We encourage team work in finding your way through the maze and completing the game sheet. It is a fun way to learn about our yearly theme.

Showcase of Citrus

Comfortably ride on the world’s largest 4×4 for about an hour through the 2500 acre Estate and learn about Native Florida trees, plants, and animals, as well as the history of the Citrus Estate. Guests may also have the opportunity to interact and feed the wildlife.

Winter months are known for higher foot traffic, less rain, and earlier sunsets. Summer months are known for lower foot traffic, a higher probability for afternoon rain showers, and a later sunset, (this allows for the 6 pm tour).

Reservations recommended for the tour, but visiting the farm is free.

Trout Lake Nature Center

Trout_lake_kidsFounded in 1988 by the Oklawaha Valley Audubon Society, the Trout Lake Nature Center (TLNC) mission is to conserve and protect the natural environment and to educate the community about its importance.

This 230 acre nature center is located in Eustis and is the point where two watersheds join together. Water flow filters through a variety of wetland habitats to flow into Trout Lake which empties into Lake Eustis. Through a variety of programs TLNC works to educate and engage the community in protecting Florida natural communities.

Walking along its nature trails, traveling along the boardwalk or visiting the museum and education building gives visitors unique insights into Florida wildlife and habitats.
